1. The brief introduction of the contest
The 26th World Summer University Games (hereinafter referred to as Shenzhen Universiade) will be held in Shenzhen in 2010. For the purpose of spreading the spirit of the Universiade and embody the charm of the Shenzhen city, the 2010 poster design contest will be especially held for the event. The contest can be divided into two categories. One is poster design contest. The contestants can log onto the website of the 3rd National Advertisement Art Competition for College Students: www.sun-ada.net. The other is the poster applied design contest. The announcement below is applicable to the second one, the poster applied design contest.

2. The objects and types of the contest
2.1 The objects: Domestic and overseas university students or professionals, including those in Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan

3. The requirement of the entry
The entries submitted by the contestants should at least meet below requirements:
3.1 Highlight the theme, pursue initiative and inspiration, and fully embody the essence of the Universiade.
3.2 Focus closely on the award-winning posters in 2008 and 2009 provided by the Organizing Committee. The website for downloading the award-winning posters in 2008 and 2009 is http://www.sz2011.org.
3.3 Embody the emblem of the Universiade “Happy U” and slogan “Start Here” in a proper way. The emblem and slogan can be searched in the official website of the Shenzhen Universiade: http://www.sz2011.org.
3.4 Stress application and vogue, and advocate originality
3.5 Consider comprehensively factors such as craft, function, region and series.
3.6 Call for unlimited art style
4. The ways of submission
4.1 The requirement of the entries
4.1.1 A copy of A4 (210mm×297mm) colorful effect pictures should be handed in for every entry. There is no need to bind up the entry, but don’t fold it. And stick the filled form in the back. Please download the form from the website: http://www.sz2011.org.
4.1.2 The submitted colorful effect pictures should reflect the three-dimensional perspective diagram and the three-view diagram of the entry. Please mark or describe the pictures with the necessary size, craft and material.
4.1.3 An electronic compact disk should also be submitted, including format-modifiable electronic files such as three-dimension pictures, ichnographs and industrial pictures, and effect pictures whose storage format is TIF or JPG and quality is not lower than 300dpi. Please mark down the name, company and contact number or ways on the front cover of the disk.
4.2 The entry, the signed “Promise Letter of Intellectual Property Transfer” and the compact disk should be submitted by mail to below address:

4.3 In order to avoid the damage to the entries in mailing, safe packing is suggested. The Committee will not take responsibility for the damage to the entries caused in mailing.
4.4 In order to ensure the equality and equity of the contest, all entries should not positively reflect any information about the identity of the contestants.
5. The Date for Collection
From the date of the announcement released to Sep., 20, 2010. The valid date should be subject to the postmark of sending places.
6. The prizes for the contest
The prizes for clothing decorations and souvenirs are as follows:
The first Prize: 1 recipient, 5000 RMB and a certificate
The second Prize: 3 recipients, 2000 RMB each and a certificate for every recipient
The third Prize: 6 recipients, 1000 RMB each and a certificate for every recipient
Excellence Prize: 30 recipients, a certificate for every recipient
Entry Prize: 60 recipients, a certificate for every recipient
Besides,
The Prize of Excellent Guider (for tutors): 16 recipients, a certificate for every recipient.
The Prize of Excellent Organizer (for schools or related organizations): 16 recipients, a certificate for every recipient.
Remarks:
1. The award money is the pre-tax amount.
2. The award money and trophies will be awarded to the first author for those who take part in the contest in the name of a natural person or a group of natural persons without legal entity qualification;the award money, trophies and certificates will be awarded to the legal entity for those who take part in the contest in the name of companies with legal entity qualifications, social groups, administrative institutions or other organizations.
7. The judge panel
The Executive board of the Universiade will invite famous design professionals and culture scholars to set up the judge panel to analyze and judge the entries. The specific name list will be announced after the judgment.
8. Confidentiality and anti-recessive market
8.1 The contestants should keep the obligation of confidentiality to the relative material and information about the entries and not disclose the above material or information to any third party before Sep., 20th, 2010, no matter whether the entries of the contestants will be selected or not.
8.2 The contestants can not commercially propagate anytime and anywhere whether he supports the announcement of the contest, or takes part in the contest or implies that he is affiliated to Shenzhen Universiade, the Executive Board of the Universiade and other originations of the event.
9. The entry arrangement and intellectual property
9.1 The contestants don’t need to pay any participation fee for the contest. All the entries will not be returned, so please make copies.
9.2 The intellectual property attribution of the entries will be confirmed in accordance with the related stipulation of “the Promise Letter of Intellectual Property Transfer” submitted by the contestants.
9.3 All the contestants in the Contest should submit the signed “Promise Letter of Intellectual Property Transfer” according to the requirement of the ways of submission. Otherwise, it will be regarded as abandoning the qualification of the contest voluntarily.
10. Others
10.1 The Executive Board of Universiade possesses the right of final explanation of the announcement and the related appendixes.
